The Guilford Performing Arts Festival has hired Colin Sheehan as line producer and Lori A. Cartwright as stage manager for the 2019 festival, scheduled for September 26-29 at some 20 venues throughout Guilford.

Sheehan will be responsible for production planning and line production, including coordinating logistics among the festival’s artists, venues, vendors and the Town of Guilford. In collaboration with festival programmers, he’ll be responsible for scheduling; artist and venue assignments; sound, lighting and other technical needs; permitting; and security, power and environmental services.

A Branford native, Sheehan has performed in and produced theater, television, cruise, benefits and other events for more than 20 years. He has coordinated entertainment and performed for R Family Vacations, the Nickelodeon Family Cruise and Broadway Cruise. In addition, he was on the production team for the “Wendy Williams Show,” performed many times on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and served as an associate producer for the Tony and Olivier award-winning theater production company Seaview Productions.

Closer to home, Sheehan is artistic director for Shoreline Theatre Company and the Tabor Arts Branford, is a member of the Branford Community Foundation board and serves as director of the Branford High School spring musicals. In 2017, he directed a world premiere of an anti-bullying musical at the Ivoryton Playhouse. This year, he is producing a number of events for Branford’s 375th birthday celebration.

Cartwright returns to the festival as stage manager, a role she performed for the inaugural event in 2017. She’ll be responsible for on-site venue management, including supervision of staging, technical matters, artist load-in and load-out, and audience flow.

A resident of Guilford, Cartwright has directed and stage-managed productions in Connecticut and Delaware, for the Connecticut Drama Association Theatre Festival, Artful Living, Vista Life Innovations, Nutmeg Players, Ivoryton Playhouse, Riverway Refugees, Cheshire Youth Theatre and TheatreMania.

As a professional arts administrator, Cartwright is marketing manager for Goodspeed Musicals and has worked at The Hartt School, Tickets.com, White Barn Theatre, Media Theatre for the Performing Arts and the Delaware Theatre Company. She is also the founding producer of MiLo Productions, which presents the Shoreline Cabaret Series and the Connecticut Yuletide Carolers.
