We want YOU! As we start planning the most exciting Guilford Performing Arts Festival yet, we’re looking to bring on a few more talented people—especially in marketing, development and production. We have a few openings on our board of directors as well on on our finance, marketing and programming committees.
Our current needs are in marketing strategy, social media, fundraising and production management. If you have a passion for the arts and the impact that they can have on a community as well as on individual lives; if you have skill, experience and time to devote to a great cause; if you’re collaborative and interested in working with a great crew of dedicated, fun and creative people, let us know! The Guilford Performing Arts Festival is an all-volunteer organization, with a volunteer board of directors; volunteer teams that guide programming and production, marketing, finance and development; and dozens of volunteers who welcome performers and audiences to every show, and work hard to ensure their comfort and enjoyment.
In addition to the short-term needs mentioned above, as the 2021 festival nears, we’ll need help with the many logistics required to stage an event with 50+ shows. We’ll need people to greet artists and audiences; work on staging, sound and lighting; coordinate logistics at multiple venues; spread the word and handle environmental duties as we put on the “greenest” festival we can.
More than 60 people pitched in to make the 2019 festival a success. Join us as we put the 2021 festival together! We put smiles on the faces of thousands of people, place performers in the schools for workshops and master classes, showcase our area’s amazing talent, and bring great regional and national acts to the Connecticut Shoreline. And we have a lot of fun doing it!
