The West Haven Consort will present The New Music of the 1600s, featuring works by Monteverdi, Huygens, Caccini and d’India, sung and performed on period instruments.

Artist Bio

Tenor and musical director Thomas Heilman, a specialist in vocal music before 1650, has recorded with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Harwood Early Music Ensemble, and given concerts at the Detroit Museum of Art, the Newberry Library and Amherst Early Music Festival. The ensemble for this performance comprises Heilman, soprano Danielle Munsell Howard and theorbist Hideki Yamaya.
